The G4003G lathe is my second Grizzly lathe. My first being a 4003- virtually the same machine. 20 years on the previous machine no issues. I feel it is very good value for the money and having done business with Grizzly for about 30 years I feel I have a support system if needed.

Jan 04, 2014· Every time I think I'll buy one, I read about all the aggravation with the G4003G's. The closed gear box 12 inch lathe is so new that I haven't seen a review, but look carefully at all the dimensions, thread range, speeds and so on; I think it's not an improvement over the G4003G.

I bought this DRO for my Grizzly G4003g 12x36 Lathe. After a polite email exchange, giving my lathe's dimensions to the vendor, the DRO arrived, undamaged, about 9 days later. The user manual is very poorly translated from Chinese, and I couldn't figure out how to change between radius/diameter mode.
